Many seniors grew up in a world where people were more honest, so they may not expect fake texts, calls, or websites.
Scam messages look almost identical to real bank, CRA, or delivery messages.
Scammers use fear ("You will be arrested") and deadlines ("Act now or lose your account") to force quick decisions.
Seniors who feel lonely may stay longer on the phone with scammers pretending to "help".
After a scam, many feel too embarrassed to tell family or ask for help.

The Web App is live now at web.safecircle.ca. Here's what you can check right away:

Clear instructions: Block the sender, report to authorities, verify with your bank safely, or simply ignore and delete.
More features coming in mobile apps
Voice analysis and camera-based scanning are not available on the Web App. These features will be available in the mobile apps (Android and iOS) when they launch. The Web App focuses on text-based scanning for SMS and email content.
We're building native mobile apps for Android and iOS with additional features like voice analysis and camera-based scanning.
The Android app is in final testing and will launch on Google Play in the coming weeks. Get notified when it's ready to download.
The iOS app will launch after Apple's App Store review and approval process. This typically takes a few weeks after Android launch.
